On Saturday August 28th – we organised our first Annual 5 a side football tournament for the Ryan Connell Foundation. 24 teams enthusiastically participated supported by many spectators on a beautiful sunny day.
It was an amazing day filled with love & laughter but also a very competitive day. The final was evenly competed with Mearns Uniters narrowly defeating Ryan’s Rovers in extra time. The generosity on the day was amazing – we raised £9k – George Shirley & Katie were overwhelmed how kind everybody was – it was lovely seeing everybody together – showing their love for Ryan and donating to the chosen charities – Street Soccer Scotland and Brothers in Arms.
